The Big Day

The wedding will be held on Saturday, September 14th at Mount Hope Farm in Bristol, Rhode Island. The ceremony will take place at 4pm in a colonial garden with cocktail hour to follow. The party will then move to the barn across the way for dinner and dancing.

Get here!

From Providence

It's a quick 30 minute drive to Mount hope Farm. Just hop on 195 East and take exit 2 onto MA-136 toward Newport. Once you reach Bristol, the farm will be on the left.

Alternatively, you could take the East Bay Bike Path, but you might be a tad sweaty when you get here. It's a fun bike ride, though -- maybe try it out on Sunday!

From Boston

Drive down to Providence on I-95 S, then follow the Providence directions to Bristol.

From Parts Unknows (MO, MD, CA, AUS)

Fly into TF Green airport in Warwick, RI, head up I-95 N, and take exit 19 to merge onto I-195 E. Follow the Providence directions from there.

Staying the weekend

We've reserved rooms in two convenient locations for you. Give'em a call, before it's too late!

Bristol Harbor Inn is an elegant boutique-style 40-room hotel located on the water at Thames Street Landing in the heart Bristol, Rhode Island. It is Bristol's only hotel, just a few minutes from the Mount Hope Farm. Our block is now expired, but they might have a few rooms left anyway!

The Hampton Inn sits right in the heart of Providence's bustling downtown. Here, you'll have all of Providence -- trust us, it's about 3 blocks from our apartment. There's a ton of restaurants, bars, and coffee shops nearby, and it's where the majority of the rooms we have blocked are, so you'll be among friends. And, it's only a 30-minute drive to the farm!

When you call to book a room, ask for the Fogerson-Jordan block.

Food Tourism

Providence is known for its food! Johnson and Wales in downtown Providence is one of the best culinary schools around, so the good-restaurants-per-capita rate is abnormally high. Here's some of our favorites, in no particular order.

Caffeine

  • White Electric. Our favorite coffee. Also, try a bagel.
  • Tazza. Michelle's morning necessity, steps from the Hampton Inn. Pretty great French Toast on the weekends, too.
  • Seven Stars. Wonderful pasteries. The coffee is ... fine.

Dinner

  • Harry's. Delectable burgers. And the best part? You get 2.
  • Broadway Bistro. Our favorite restaurant. Anywhere.
  • The Grange. The new, hipster, (mostly) vegan place in town.

After Dinner

  • Red Fez. Did we say The Grange was hipster? The Fez was here first. Beers, cocktails, and pretty great dinner, too.
  • The Eddy. Tiny and lovely. Both the space and the cocktails.
  • The Dorrance. The poshest cocktails around, with that Roaring Twenties vibe. Minus the whole prohibition thing.

Our Story

No less than a week after arriving at college, TR Jordan met Michelle Fogerson while waiting for the elevator, or over Indian food, depending on who you ask. Three years later, they promptly started dating. What started with a

became three Bostonian years of dinner parties, hiking, butter, TK's homemade pasta, grilling, and more butter. Few things last forever (with one exception, but especially not cheap grills), and one day, the question was asked:

We can do long-distance, right?

So he went to DC and she to Providence, and both regretted the other's choice almost immediately. What followed was, at four flights a month, probably the most profitable 18 months in the corporate history of Southwest Airlines. Drowning in free drink coupons, they finally realized

We can, but it's a terrible idea.

TR moved to Providence and promptly started making plans. 18 months later, they went for a hike. At the top of Mt. Alander, to the surprise of nobody but Michelle, TR went to one knee and said something resulting in the world's most enthusiatic
